Hot Flames Card

Love Bug Creations

Hey there Robin's Nest fans.  Welcome back to the blog.  This month is HOT, HOT, HOT!  Check out these fabulous Robin's Nest flame papers this month.  But wait, there's more.  Check out the new Special Delivery Baby Boy and Baby Girl collections..  They are so cute and charming, you will want both collections.  Additionally, we are also teaming up with Love Bug Creations this month.  We will be using some of their scrumptious rumple ribbons.  The colors are to "dye" for.  You will want to visit their online store to check out the beautiful ribbons they carry.

For my first project piece, I made a card using the Mango Flame Border CS.  This would make a fabulous card for Father's Day, or for any celebration that you need to have a masculine card.
Trim a portion of the black embossed flames on the Mango Flame Border CS.
Fussy cut the flame, leaving a tiny orange border.
Fussy cut the motorcycle image from the Simple Stories "So Random" sheet.
Add Distress ink colors in wild honey and brushed corduroy to the motorcycle image.  Set aside.
Apply three colors of Brilliance inks to one side of the Spellbinders embossing folder.
Run 5-1/2" x 7-1/2" piece of Mango Flame Border CS (the side opposite the flame) through your die cut machine using the inked up embossing folder.
Trim around the edges of the embossed piece.
Apply the brushed corduroy ink pad directly to the embossed image. This brings out even more of the embossing.
Now we are really going to grunge it up.  Sprinkle TH tea dye distress embossing powder and heat emboss from the bottom.  Rub excess release crystals off of embossed image.
Fold kraft CS in half to make base card.  Adhere embossed background to front of card, as shown.
Adhere motorcyle cut out and flame cutout to front, as shown.  Leave flames free for added dimension.
Attach "Hot Ride" banner stickers to top left, as shown.  Glue gears to wheels with 3D Crystal Lacquer, as shown.  (See finished card photo above).

Next, I made these two simple cards using the new Special Delivery Baby Boy kit.  Here is a picture of the fun things included in this kit.
And here are my finished cards.  Are these just the cutest cards ever?  And everything you need is included, which makes them so easy and quick to make.  And there is still a ton of product left in kit for many, many more cards.  Such a great value.
I hope you have enjoyed my projects today, and that you will check back often to see all of the new products and fabulous designs being created by the design team.  So be sure to visit The Robin's Nest online store, as well as their blog.  And don't forget to check out the beautiful rumple ribbons from Love Bug Creations.
