Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween 2014 Blog Hop- Day 19

Welcome to Day 19 of the 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop. And today, I have another journal card to go into my mini album.  This is simple but pretty effective!

Cut paprika card stock to 3"x 5", round corners.

Trim print card stock slightly smaller, round corners, and emboss with Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Add scraps of graveyard black paper beneath die cut openings.  This will allow the black to pop through the design.

Hit the high spots on the design with Black Soot distress ink.  

Stamp Sin City Stamps grunge birds onto smooth white card stock with Black StazOn.  Lay embossed paper layer over image, decide what area you want to show through the opening, and trace around the top layer.

 Spritz the stamped image with the glimmer mists in this order:  Daffodil, then lay stencil over image, spritz with Cork, then Crushed Shells.  When dry, adhere print layer over image and cut off excess.

Stamp and heat emboss "Evil Ahead" with Versamark and detail black embossing powder.  Add four gem stickers in each corner.  See finished photo above.

Detail black embossing powder
