To begin, I cut brown card stock to 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", and scored down the middle using my Scor Pal. This will be my card base. Set it aside for now.
Next, I began stamping my images from the Muse Stitches stamp set. I stamped the sewing pattern onto a Serviette Paper with Versa color Black ink pad. I fussy cut it out and set aside.
I stamped only the tape measure portion of the sewing pattern stamp onto the brown and cream striped paper with black ink, as shown.
Then I fussy cut that out and adhered it over the the serviette paper stamping. This gave a nice variety to the stamped image.
I stamped the vintage sewing machine onto one of the papers from the Glitz Pretty in Pink paper pad with the black ink and fussy cut that out.
I kept the stamping to the top portion of this paper, as I used the bottom portion for the first layer on my card base, which was cut slightly smaller. Then I inked the edges with the Leather Mixed Media Inx and a blending tool.
I cut a tag shape from the Adhesive Corrugated paper and punched a hole in the center. Then I cut a smaller tag shape from the pink paper and stamped the words "thimble", "zipper", and "baste" along the right edge of the tag with black ink. I used my Acrylic Block to line them up and stamped them all at once.
I used the Double Side Tape Mini to adhere the smaller pink tag shape to the corrugated tag and put an eyelet in the hole to keep the two together. I die cut a dress form from the brown paper and used Glue Stick to glue it to the tag.
Next, stamp the woven fabric swatch onto a scrap of the pink paper with the Memento Luxe Rhubarb Stalk ink pad and cut out.
Use a paper piercer to pierce holes through the stamped fabric swatch, then insert the hat pin through the holes.
This was adhered to the bottom of the tag with a foam dots. Since I covered up most of the last word at the bottom, I added "seam" at the top of the tag.
Stamp the thread spools onto a scrap of the music background paper with the black ink and cut out. Shape them with your fingers and adhere to the card with foam dots. Use watercolor pencils to add color to each spool.
Stamp the buttons on scraps of the paper from the same pad with black ink. Cover each button with the Crystal Lacquer and let dry. I used paper punches that luckily fit the two sizes of buttons, but you can always cut them out with scissors.
I used foam dots to adhere all of the fussy cut pieces, as shown. I used a paper piercer on one button and threaded it with twine, but I decided I preferred the buttons without the thread in this case.
Lastly, I glued a length of lace along the top edge of the card, as shown in the finished photo above.
