Got Milk? Page Layout for The Robin's Nest

Hello again.  Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day Weekend.  I have a really cute Robin's Nest page layout for you all today.  First, let me introduce you to my two sweet little fur babies, Chloe (left) and Zoe (right).  They are sisters.  In fact, they were the entire litter.  So they have been together their entire lives. If you look carefully in the picture, you will see that they are both quite interested in the cookie I am holding in my hand, hence, the "got milk" theme.  Nothing goes better with a chocolate chip cookie than a cold glass of milk, right?

I used the Distressed Honeycomb paper as my base layer, then tore the Glitter Black Paws paper diagonally across and layered it on top, revealing a bit of the Distressed Honeycomb paper.

To make the rosettes above and below the picture, I first cut a length of the Blue Animal Print to 2-3/4" x 12", used a decorative paper punch along one long edge, then scored along the entire length every 3/8".  I did the same thing  with the Brown Leopard Print on Creme paper, only trimming this piece to
2-1/4" x 12".  I adhered the picture to a sturdy piece of cardboard so that it would hold the weight of the rosettes.  After accordion folding all four pieces, I layered one on top of the other and taped them to both the top and bottom of the picture.

I cut out an image of a jar that looked like a milk bottle, added my glittered letters to spell out "GOT MILK?", and adhered the jar with foam dots.  Since the letters were all black glitter, I had to add some gold paint to the word "GOT" so it would stand out against the Glitter Black Paws paper.  I used an Opal Liquid Pearls to imitate milk streaming from the jar and splashing as it hits the bottom.

I added the Teal (and brown) Glitter paws along the left edge, and added the Fall Foliage Dew Drops to imitate toe nails.  I just love how this added to the die cut paws.

The Robin's Nest Products I used are shown below with direct links, for your convenience.

I hope you enjoyed my project today, and I hope you will visit The Robin's Nest to see what other wonderful papers and embellishments they carry.  They are continually adding new things to make our crafting so much more pleasurable.  So please visit their website, and while you are there, please check out their Monthly Page Map Challenge.  It is a wonderful place for you to show off your work and have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to use in their online store.

My next Robin's Nest post will be 17 September, but in the meantime, please check out what the other designers are creating.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful and safe holiday!
