Fun Tags and Cards with IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko

Welcome to our second week of creative inspiration with our fabulous partner this month, IMAGINE Crafts.  Each Tuesday during the month of June, IMAGINE Crafts will be sharing the projects that their Artists in Residence have created using products from Altered Pages.  The Design Team here at Altered Pages will also be featuring IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko products throughout the month.  We hope you will visit both blogs to see the fabulous projects that each team has designed for you.

So, I wanted to begin the week with a tag, or a card, or how about both?

As you can see, tags are extremely versatile.  If you are a card maker, but you love making tags, then turn those tags into a focal point on a card.  In the second photo above, I have added "merci" to the card to turn it into a Thank You card.  Just change up your sentiment for any occasion.

Directions:

Crop, resize, and print The Delineator from AP-1062 Once Upon A Time collage sheet onto cream card stock at 2.1" x 2.8". Trim around image, then sponge Memento Luxe Peanut Brittle around the edges, and dab the Memento Luxe Pistachio ink pad directly to the edges for a bit more definition.
Cut out Eiffel Tower using Silhouette machine and black card stock.  Sponge Delicata Golden Glitz and Silvery Shimmer over entire image and let dry.  The Delicata inks are so luscious and dreamy, and really add a gorgeous sparkle to your paper.

Spritz Goosebumps Clear Texture Spray over manila tag and let dry.
After the Goosebumps dried, I sponged IMAGINE Craft/Tsukineko Neon Electric Blue and Electric Green over the tag, and carefully hit it with my heat gun to set the colors.  You don't want to bubble the Goosebumps (or maybe you do).  Then I added touches of Memento Luxe Peanut Brittle to small areas of the tag, just to unify it.   Goosebumps adds so much texture to paper, and allows for some awesome color variations when inked up.
Next, I added some Vintage Creative Medium through a bubble stencil I had laying on my desk, using SillySticks.  I was so pleased how this color went perfectly with my other colors used.
Stamp tiny dragonfly in upper left portion of tag using StazOn Midi Midnight Blue ink.

Spritz a length of Seam Binding Ribbon with water.  Pick up some ink from the Memento Luxe Peanut Brittle ink pad and apply to wet ribbon to give it a vintage look.  Allow to dry in a crumpled fashion.  Adhere through hole in tag with scrap of lace.
Ink up a small metal circle with the Memento Luxe Pistachio ink, cover with clear embossing powder and heat emboss.  Be careful, it is metal and it DOES get hot.  Allow metal to cool, then stamp tiny pocket watch with StazOn Midi Midnight Blue.  Heat set ink and allow to cool.
Edge tag with StazOn Midi Nautical Blue to give it that nice, framed look.  The StazOn ink is permanent and works beautifully on nonporous surfaces like metal.  Add a large jump ring through both the ribbon and tag.

I felt my tag needed something else, so I adhered a strip of lace along the left edge, and colored two metal leaves with StazOn Midi Claret.
Adhere embellishments to tag, as shown in photo.

To turn your tag into a card, I added a piece of print paper to a 5" x 7" kraft card, edged with Memento Luxe Peanut Brittle and adhering tag to card, as shown.  Next, I printed "merci" from the AP-871 Mini Images Paris collage sheet, punched corners with ticket punch, and gave it that vintage look by sponging a light coat of Memento Luxe Peanut Brittle with an ink blusher.  I popped it up with foam tape over the tag.
