Fairy Cards with Altered Pages and Faerie Song

Hello everyone!  Barbara here today.  I hope your week is off to a good start.  I have a couple of cards to share again, using these wonderful rubber stamps from our partner, Faerie Song Art Stamps.  I think you will find that these stamps work wonderfully together with Altered Page's products!

Castle in the Forest Card:

I first stamped the Castle in the Forest image onto one of the Collage Background I images with Vintage Sepia ink.  The image fits perfectly, as you can see below.  Of course, if you get the digital collage images, you can resize them to whatever size you need.

After stamping, I trimmed around the image to fit an A2 size card that I made from pink card stock.  I always use my Scor Pal to make the center fold crease for crisp folds.  I also cut a piece of the Adhesive Corrugated kraft card slightly larger than the stamped image.

I resized and fussy cut the fairy image to fit onto my forest scene.

Before adhering the layers to my card with the Double Side Tape Mini, I edged the stamped image first with the leather mixed media ink, then again with the gold Delicata ink.  When you do them together, the brown tones down the gold and makes it more antique looking.  Love that look.

Lastly, I computer generated the phrase I found on the internet, punched it out and adhered to the card.

"A rustle in the wind
reminds us a fairy is near!"

I had some gold leaf trim sitting on my desk so I added that with Aleene's Tacky Glue.

Bryony Fairy Card:

For this card, I again used my Scor Pal to make a blue folded A2 size card.  I cut a piece of print paper from the Botanical Odyssey paper pad and edged it with the Leather ink, then the gold, just as I did in the first card.

Bryony was stamped onto white card with Versafine black ink and colored using Gelatos with a water brush.  These paints are so creamy and nice, and so very easy to use.  After I die cut the image into a nice shape, I also edged it with the same inks as before.  I adhered it with Adhesive Dimensionals.

I fussy cut a butterfly from another sheet from the Botanical Odyssey paper and adhered it, along with some pretty Assorted Flowers.

Shimmer was added to the wings of all fairies and butterflies.

A Faierie Sweet Valentine's Day Card and Matching Tag

Hello everyone!  It's Monday again, and I have another Altered Pages project for you.  I am still in card making mode, so today, I want to share another Valentine's Day card plus matching tag.  This month, we are proud to have Faerie Song Art Stamps as our sponsor.  Their stamps are deeply etched red rubber, and the selection of faeries is out of this world (no pun intended).

Cut a 12x12 piece of blueish green card stock in half, then use your
ScorPal scoring board to score in half for a 6x6 folded card.

Fussy cut around one of the Kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey Papers to fit the front of the card, ink edges with Leather Mixed Media Salazar Inkx using the Ranger Blending Tool and adhere it with Double Side Tape Mini.

Die cut scalloped heart shape from pink polka dot paper and a solid heart from the blue print paper with the Scallop Heart die.  Adhere the two hearts together with Double Side Tape Mini and use a Pigma Micron Pen to make a faux stitching line around the top heart.

Fussy cut a heart from the Heart of my Heart collage sheet and ink edges with Leather Mixed Media Salazar Inkx using the Ranger Blending Tool.  Adhere a piece of chipboard beneath it for added strength and Adhesive Dimensionals to raise it up off the card front.  This always gives nice dimension.

Stamp Elly from Faerie Song Art Stamps onto a piece of acrylic paper with black Stazon midi ink pad.  Color image with Gelatos and a water brush.  Do the same onto a piece of scrap white paper, leaving enough room around the image to cut out a tag shape.

Fussy cut image and edge with black Faber-Castell Big Brush Pen.    Adhere to card with Adhesive Dimensionals, as shown.

Make a double loop bow using the Sheer Ribbon and adhere to card front, as shown.  Stamp sentiment onto scrap of white card stock with Pink Neon Ink Pad and adhere to card front, as shown.

Stamp Elly from Faerie Song Art Stamps onto a piece of scrap white paper with black Stazon midi ink pad, leaving enough room around the image to cut out a tag shape. Color image as before.

For the tag, use the Nesting Frames 2 die to cut one large shape from the blueish green card stock and the next size down from the white sheet with the image stamped onto it.  I love this die because it is so versatile. It can be used a a pretty label, a rectangle if you cut both ends off, or a beautiful tag if you cut one end off, as I have shown.

Cut the bottom portion of both pieces off to form a straight bottom on the tag.  Adhere both together, punch a hole in the top center of the tag with a craft punch.  String Baker's Twine through the hole and attach to your gift.

Add a variety of Dew Drops for added magic.
