Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante Card and Matching Tag with Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts

Hello chipp-ie fans!  Did you know that Gypsy Soul Laser Cut chipboard works really well for card making?  Why?  Because you can get some dimension without having to spend extra postage.  How cool is that?  

So, today, I want to share a card and matching tag that can be used for any occasion, and the tag can be attached to a corresponding gift.

I die cut two decorative shapes from the coordinating papers and ran them through my Xyron Creative Station.  Then I cut a piece of green card stock to 7" x 10" and folded in half to make a 5" x 7" card base.  The two layers where then adhered to the front.

I aligned the  heart shaped filigree frame over the face image and traced around it with pencil, then cut it out.

  

I colored the face with colored pencils, adding shading with the white gel pen, and outlining around the eyes with the black Micron pen.

Next, I inked the frame with with the yellow, red, and sienna chalk ink pads.  When the ink dried, I added a layer of Clear Rock Candy crackle paint over the frame and let it dry.  Then I added walnut stain over it to bring out the cracks.  When dry, I adhered the frame over the face image.

The propeller, gears, and "Timeless" were also inked with the chalk ink pads, but finished by embossing with the ocher embossing powder.  A big brush black pen was used to edge the word to help it show up better against the background.

I also fussy cut some of the flowers from one of the papers and layered them with foam dots for added dimension.

Metal stickers were adhered to the center of the propeller and around the edge of the frame.

I covered one of the small tags with coordinating G45 paper and used the reverse side of the paper for the opposite side of the tag.  Remember to punch the hole at the top before covering the second side so you can find the hole easily.

I covered the corset and hat from the Ladies Choice Miniatures Set with walnut stain.  Then I inked the corset with the yellow, red, and sienna chalk ink pads. ending with the yellow.  The hat was inked with alabaster, then green, while the feather was inked with alabaster, then blue.  I used the black Micron pen to add a little pen work to the hat.

I cut out a strip of images from the coordinating paper and adhered to the tag first, then I inked a small gear with black, then gold ink, cut it in half, and adhered all to the tag, as shown.

I added a metal gear to the end of a swivel clasp and added the swivel clasp through the tag hole.

Masculine Cards with ComposiMold and Sin City Stamps

Hello everyone.  Today I am going to share a couple of cards I made using Sin City Stamps and a really fun product  called Composi•mold reusable mold making material.  Okay, I was not sure about this product, but after I got over my fears, I jumped right in and I have to tell you, this stuff is sheer FUN!  It is easy to use, and absolutely mistake-proof because, if you don't like what you made, you can start over just by reheating the product.

I love making 3D embellishments and have always wished I had a way to make my stamped images come to life and more dimensional.  Well, here's the answer.  I was able to make molds of my Sin City Stamps, which allowed me to use whatever materials I choose to make these images 3D. I chose to use Creative Paperclay®.   I love it!

I made a Christmas card to share with you today.  This is my interpretation of a "Steampunk'd Christmas".

Supplies used:

5" x 6-1/2" pre-folded green card (Michaels)
Steampunk'd Christmas rubber stamps (Sin City Stamps)
White Snow Glitter cardstock (The Robin's Nest)
Cut Grass Dylusions ink spray (Altered Pages)
Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium paper pad (Altered Pages)
Wink of Stella glitter pens (Altered Pages)
Winter Pine Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels)
Silver, Brass pigment ink pads
Silver detail embossing powder
Vintage Photo distress ink pad
Sizzix Wall Clock Bigz die (Tim Holtz)
Decorative Label punch (Stampin' Up)

Start with a 5" x 6-1/2" pre-folded green card.  Layer a piece of White Snow Glitter cardstock trimmed slightly smaller than card front (4-3/4" x 6-1/4").   Spray with Cut Grass and Winter Pine, let dry.

Stamp and silver emboss gears in open areas on the White Snow Glitter cardstock.  Edge cardstock with silver ink pad.  Adhere to card front.

Die cut wall clock from heavy chipboard and coordinating papers from the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium paper pad.  Layer papers onto chipboard clock, as shown.

Stamp and silver emboss one of the gears from the stamp set onto the circle piece from the wall clock parts and adhere to the chipboard circle for dimension.  Ink clock hands with Vintage Photo distress ink and adhere to clock (gear) face.  Attach wall clock to card front with foam tape.

Stamp and silver emboss "Steampunk'd Christmas" onto a scrap of the print paper and punch out with decorative label punch.  Edge with silver ink.  Adhere to wall clock with foam tape.

Ink pendulum with brass pigment ink and adhere to card beneath wall clock.

Stamp steampunk Santa onto white paper with stone gray ink.  Color with colored pencils and Wink of Stella glitter pens.  Fussy cut Santa and adhere to card with foam dots.

There you have it, a fun steampunk'd Christmas card for your "punky" friends.
