Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween 2014 Blog Hop- Day 23

Welcome to Day 23 of the 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop. As you know by now, I am participating in this month-long blog hop with some extremely talented artists.  The complete list of Wicked Bloggers (that's what we are called) are in my side bar.  There are lots of prizes in the daily scavenger hunt, and a Grand Prize worth over $300.

Since all of my journal cards have been made and shared with you, yesterday I began sharing my mini album pages.  Today, I am going to share pages 3 and 4.

PAGE 3:

Stamp corner spider web (M.S. Vampire set) in upper left corner with black StazOn ink.

Cut owl from mini owl movers & shapers die from black card stock.  Do not remove eyes and nose pieces. Add a piece of tape behind them if they fall out.  Color eyes with Smooch accent inks in apple green, and nose in copper.

Stamp Sin City Stamps skull jar onto white card stock with Black StazOn.  Dab Distress Stains onto craft sheet in Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, and Dried Marmalade.  Use a water brush to pick up the colors and paint image and fussy cut.

Stamp a couple of tiny bats (M.S. Vampire set) with black Stazon,  adhere owl and skull jar, as shown. Cut out and adhere words "the haunted wood" from MME Haunted paper pad and outline with white charcoal pencil.

PAGE 4:

Stamp corner spider web (M.S. Vampire set) in lower right corner with black StazOn ink.

Stamp tree (Katy Sue Designs) with black StazOn in lower left corner, and tiny bat in upper right corner.

Stamp winged pocket watch twice onto white card stock with black StazOn ink.  Dab Distress Stains onto craft sheet in Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, and Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade.  Use a water brush to pick up the colors and paint image.

Fussy cut each image, trimming only the wings from the second image, as shown with my pencil marks.

You may need to trim the tabs on the top wings so you can adjust them for insertion into the main image.

Shape wings, make a slice with a craft knife in the full image, between the watch and wings, being careful not to cut the wings off.  Insert the tabs on the second set of wings through the slits, aligning with the bottom image.  Use pop dots to lift the wings off the page.   I adhered a 1" epoxy circle over the clock face before adhering to the page.

Tabbed wing on left being inserted into main image
