Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween 2014 Blog Hop- Day 12

Welcome to Day 12 of the 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop. As you know by now, I am participating in this month-long blog hop with some extremely talented artists.  The complete list of Wicked Bloggers (that's what we are called) are in my side bar.  There are lots of prizes in the daily scavenger hunt, and a Grand Prize worth over $300.

I made a card for you today.  I had this skull stamp for awhile now, and really wanted to use it.
Make graveyard black folded card to measure 5" x 6-1/2".

Trim 4-5/8" x 5-7/8" purple print paper, edge with Dusty Concord, and layer onto card base.

Trim reverse side of purple print paper to 3-1/8" x 6-1/8".  Edge first with white pigment ink, then Mustard Seed.  This allows the yellow to show up on the edge of the dark paper.  Layer onto card base.

Stamp skull with Black Soot onto smooth white card stock.  Use damp water brush to pull color from the stamping into the center of the image for a watercolor effect.  Fussy cut skull and adhere to a piece of black fun foam.

Cut doily in half and layer onto card front, as shown.
Adhere skull image over doily.

Punch two spiders from black core-dinations paper.  Sand each one to bring out the yellow color and add eyes with Copper Pico Embellisher.

Shape each spider with foam and embossing tool and adhere to card with foam dots.

Supplies:

Smooth white card stock
7Gypsies Wicked Gypsy paper collection
CRAFT Imaginations/Tsukineko Irresistible Copper Pico Embellisher
Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz Apothecary stamp set
White pigment ink
Distress inks:  Dusty Concord, Mustard Seed, Black Soot
Black fun foam (or pop dots)
Martha Stewart spider punch
Recollections Halloween doily (orange glitter)

I hope you are still having lots of fun with the blog hop.  Thanks so much for stopping by.
